Board Members

Ian Northcott: W. Ian Northcott is the president of Northcott Construction Inc and has been successfully contracting for the past 25 years as NCI.  Previous to NCI, responsibilities have included in-house engineer, sales, operations manager, service department head in Heating and Air Conditioning and Solar.  In the 1980’s, he was engaged in the energy industry and participated in solar design and installation of potable water heating and space heating systems.  As an energy consultant he provided energy calculations for new construction in the state of California.

Ian also owns and manages Maple Grove Commercial Park in Hamilton Mt, owns and operates as CEO of TIG Treatment Systems, an active aeration waste processing plant, is VP of ANR Wood Products, and is currently serving as the president of the Sleeping Child Planning Group.

Ian is father of 3 children and is presently an empty nester with his wife Carol of 34 years.  They have 2 grandchildren.

Known for a kind heart, Ian can be found affectionately talking to people about the children he has met in Ethiopia and how we can help them drive away poverty and give them a sense of community, family, and self-worth.  He has been involved with Canadian Humanitarian for the last 7 years, recently expanding its operation into the U.S. through Kids Hope Ethiopia.

Kids Hope Ethiopia is the U.S. sister company to Canadian Humanitarian. Kids Hope Ethiopia enables the organization as a whole to better supply the needs of children and parents in its programs.
